My Dalwhinnie and Menzies stone lifts at the weekend

Postby james grahame » Mon Nov 22, 2010 8:09 am

Took a trip this weekend to try these two stones.

I mistimed it and arrived at Dalwhinnie before dawn and had to lift it by the lights of my car. It had also been snowing so I had to wipe the stone down and cover it with my top. I lifted it a few times.

Then off to tackle the Menzies stone. This was much harder and also a bit damp as you can see from the video. Managed one standup. Then lapped it a second time but couldn't stand up as my grip was wet.

In hindsight, I had a great time. But during the driving all I could think was 'stop snowing'...'stop raining'

Thanks guys. The Dalwhinnie felt very liftable.

The Menzies was a struggle. I spent a good few minutes just looking at it trying work out the best way to lift it.

Nice lifting.
The lights from the car really add to the video on the first lift
