Well done guys. It looked like a lot of fun and I was delighted to see the stone that Peter brought. Hopefully it was popular enough to merit another stone challenge in the future.

It was very thoughtful to give Peter an award. It is very well deserved as he is doing a great job in raising awareness of stone lifting and what it is all about within a cultural perspective.

There must have been many of us, myself included, that thought the Stones Of Strength book had defined the subject until Peter began to explain and share what he has learned.

Peter is teaching us all what stone lifting is about.
It's rare for me to read of any ground-breaking research being done by anyone, but with Peter each email is full of it! 8-)
The book/s, will be a rarity indeed, and an absolute must for anyone interested in strength and scottish culture.
We will host the English Stone Lifting Champs next year.
If you are over get down to it!

For me the Stone lifting was the highlight of an excellent weekend. It was great to talk to Peter about the history of the stones and his research. Lifting that stone onto the platform is the most satisfying feat of strength I've performed and I'll be dragging my family up to Scotland one day for some more.

Mark,
Glad you enjoyed it.
Your lift was superb at such a light bodyweight. You should definitely try thr stones in Scotland; but maybe the Welsh stones first.
