Stone lifting trip plan/training

Postby David Horne » Fri Jan 06, 2012 1:38 pm

Training is going so well for my stone lifting trip to North Wales in March.
A lot of other exercises to help have been added, alongside the Bearhug Deadlifts.

I've now booked our accomodation for the week 3-10 March in a lovely cottage.

Plan
I will be going for five stones over the week, starting on the Saturday the 3rd with Criccieth Stone.
3rd Saturday - Criccieth Stone - 391lb
4th Sunday - day down the Llŷn Peninsula, forraging for sea food.
5th Monday - Ysbyty Ifan Stone - 300lb. Hopefully lift, and walk with it? The Pete's Eats in Llanberis after for big meal.
6th Tuesday - We are going bouldering
7th Wednesday - To the island of Anglesey - Esceifiog stone - 212lb, at a school [maybe press], then up to Presaddfed Hall to press the 168lb Boderden stone. Followed by fossiling at a beach.
8th Thursday - Climb Y-Garn mountain
9th Friday - Pennmaenmawr stone - 265lb, maybe shoulder it.

Can't wait!
David

The Criccieth Stone look's like a Monster. I read the Article about Roger Davis attempting to lift it 11 Time's. Some other good Stone's on the list also. Look's like it will be a Fun Week of Lifting. Good Luck David :)

Just been told that they have changed the date of the Criccieth Challenge to June 16th.
We are still going up to lift the Criccieth stone, now on Sunday, March 4 at 10.30am.
