Re: On holiday

Good stuff. There's always a gym near by, if there are stones around. :D

Re: Criccieth Stone of Strength Challenge Day 2014

Yes it is, a big smooth egg-shaped stone. No real gripping areas too.
Yes it does have a long history of being a strength test.

That stone looks really awkward to lift.

Does the Criccieth Stone have a illustrious history?

Criccieth Stone of Strength Challenge Day 2014

Les Wiltshire photo of one of my lifts of the 177.5k Criccieth stone. Stone of Strength Challenge Day. I lifted the 177.5k Criccieth stone six times to just under knees, attaining a level 1 lift, and lovely trophy. https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-xfp1/v/t1.0-9/10486957_162499470105...

That is a great video.
They will have a shrine to Timo next time you go back, and the stories of the strong blond man from the North will have grown to legendary status!

Re: It's not the dinnies...

James, Please go back to these stones now, as long as your skin is ok. It is time to sort them now. Head there on a good day; from next Wednesday (I think) is getting some good weather. Keep a check on Met Office. Strap the knee up heavily, put the stones together and straddle. Put the heavy stone b...

Re: It's not the dinnies...

Mate, absolutely not a fail! I put it at a 9/10 performance. Reasons: Raining; I know about this and it doesn't help. Lifting them with them outside of the legs, which means the heavy one will dig in and drag up the leg, causing more friction. Straddle them! Finally you lifted them to a good height....
